Global Educator Program Overview
Global Teaching Partners
Program Overview
The Global Educator Program is designed for international educators to gain experiential knowledge of the United States, participate actively in cross-cultural activities with U.S. schools and communities, and, at the conclusion of their exchange, return home to share their experiences and their increased knowledge of the U.S. In turn, educators in the Global Educator Program will inspire U.S. students to respect, appreciate, and admire other cultures and develop and prepare thoughtful global citizens. International educators will be classified as Global Educators, offered K – 12 teaching positions primarily in North Carolina, and permitted to stay up to five years before they’re required to return to their home countries. Once hired in the school district, Global will aid in their cultural transition and provide support throughout their employment.

Educator Success Coaches
The Educator Success Coach’s role is to offer academic and transitional support to Global Educators as they adjust to teaching and living in the United States. Acting as a bridge between school administration and Global Educators, the Coach assists educators in adapting to a new culture and school environment, as well as U.S. academic and professional expectations. While providing ongoing academic support and coaching throughout the exchange program, the primary focus is on educators during their first two years.
Transitional Advisors
The purpose of a Global Transitional Advisor is to assist Incoming Educators during their initial adjustment to the U.S. Global connects Incoming Educators with a current Global Educator, community member, or colleague at their school who can help with basic needs, such as navigating appointments or grocery shopping, and assist with acclimating to their new community. The role of the Transitional Advisor is crucial during this period, so Global ensures that advisors are chosen based on high standards of character and, where applicable, their standing within the program.
TalentLMS
TalentLMS is a cloud-based learning management system designed to streamline the creation, management, and delivery of online training programs. This platform lets us empower Global Educators by providing professional development and additional resources tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, TalentLMS delivers valuable data and feedback to the Global team, enhancing our ability to support our educators.
