Jorge Castaneda, Honduras, High School Science Teacher

Jorge Mario Castaneda Garcia is a nurturing and passionate Math teacher from the coastal city of La Ceiba, Honduras. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Catolica de Honduras as well as a Master’s degree in Finance. Throughout his time in university, Jorge developed a passion for teaching and went on to complete a second Master’s degree in International Education from Framingham State University (Massachusetts).

Outside of school, Jorge is an avid sports fan and enjoys rooting on many U.S. teams including the NC State football team (American Football)! He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends and attending his local church where he’s involved in a number of community service projects.
